Istria is indeed a feast for the eyes. Its streams flow to the sea through deep valleys and gullies which bring to mind the ancient local myths about giants. A professional tour guide will introduce you to all the hidden beauties of Rovinj, especially its Old Town, which is one of the most frequent motives of Istria and Croatia on postcards and brochures. Olives, indigenous aromatic plants, brilliancy of white stone against the verdant vegetation, and the towering mountain massif of Biokovo, whose spurs reach all the way to the sea – yes, this is indeed an exceptional part of the country, and its beauty is made all the more enchanting by numerous historic events, monuments, and cultural manifestations. In the year 305, the Roman Emperor Diocletian, who ruled the entire world at that time, decided to build his leisure time abode – in which he intended to spend the rest of his life. He had no doubt as to exactly where to build it, the very heart of Dalmatia, in the bay of Aspalathos. It’s well protected from the sea by the islands of the Split archipelago, and defended on its landward side by high mountains, this allowed Diocletian to create a special point on the map of the Adriatic: the future city of Split. Private transfer to your hotel in Split. Today, you can relax or take a walk through Split’s vibrant streets. Overnight in Split.

Day

8

After breakfast embark on a boat and start your adventurous boat ride to Island Brac , the biggest island in Dalmatia. The island is also known for its olives and istone cutting tradition; Brac stone was used in building Diocletian's palace and some also say that Brac limestone was used in building the White House. Island Brač is also known for its Golden Horn Beach, famed beach in Bol, is perhaps the best known and the most beautiful beach in Croatia. But as locals like to say, it isn’t the only beach here. The entire south side of the island of Brač is dotted with gorgeous pebble beaches Its highest peak, Vidova Gora, is at 778 m, and it makes Brač the highest of all Adriatic islands. Enjoy morning on the beach and continue cruise to Hvar, the sunniest island in Croatia. Hvar is a visual feast for lovers of architecture and it looks like "an open air gallery" for every style which is waiting to be discovered. Return back to Split. Overnight in Split.
