Day

1

Arrival to Zagreb, more than a 1000-year-old City, a capital of Croatia that will impress you with its historic charm. Zagreb is global and cosmopolitan city with a rich history dating from Roman times to the present days. For centuries it has been a focal point of culture and science and now of commerce and industry as well. It is located in the northwest of the country, on the southern slopes of Medvednica mountain along the Sava river and also on the intersection of important routes between Adriatic coast and Central Europe. Transfer to your hotel and free time to relax. Hotel amenities will help you to relax and rejuvenate. Overnight in Zagreb.

Day

2

Your day will start with magnificent cup of coffee in the oldest coffee shop in Zagreb situated on the main square overlooking the statue of Ban Jelacic. Croatians are very sensitive about the coffee and coffee drinking in local coffee shops and it is part of the culture. Morning sightseeing with a local guide to explore the city. Visit Museum of broken relationships, a physical and virtual public space created with the sole purpose of treasuring and sharing peoples heartbreak stories and symbolic possessions. It is a museum about you, about us, about the ways we love and lose. The rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Zagreb.

Day

3

After breakfast departure for the bay of Kvarner and the popular seaside resort of Opatija, a destination where Croatian tourism started. First hotels and travel services were offered in that area. In the past it was a summer and winter destination for the Austro-Hungarian nobility and today it is a place rich in cultural and entertainment events, unique culinary delicacies and in recent years in superb wellness and beauty treatments. After arrival to Opatija free time to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Opatija.

Day

4

After breakfast departure to Pula, the largest town on the Istrian peninsula, and also a city where you can find sixth largest amphitheater in the world. Meeting with the local guide who will take you on a walking tour of Pula, and offer a unique insight into the 3,000-year-old history of one of the oldest towns in Europe. The city is best known for its many surviving ancient Roman buildings, the most famous of which is its 1st-century amphitheater. Locally known as the 'Arena', it is the sixth-largest amphitheater in the world. This ancient structure's appearance belies its age and it is still used today for summer film festivals. In the afternoon departure back to Opatija and free evening. Overnight in Opatija.

Day

5

After breakfast departure to National Park Plitvice Lakes. The beauty of the National Park lies in its sixteen lakes, inter-connected by a series of waterfalls, and set in deep woodland populated by deer, bears, wolves, boars and rare bird species. Take a walk with a local guide through this heaven on earth. Enjoy scenery of beautiful waterfalls and untouched nature. And don’t forget to make a wish under the largest waterfall as it is supposedly making your wishes come true :) After visiting NP Plitvice, we will have a dinner in local restaurant – Licka kuca (optional). Continue to Zadar, city voted to be the best European destination for 2015, - a city monument, surrounded by historical ramparts, a treasury of the archaeological and monumental riches of ancient and medieval times, Renaissance and many contemporary architectural achievements such as the first sea organs in the world. Hotel check-in. Overnight in Zadar.

Day

6

After breakfast departure to Trogir, a very colorful city with a historic past and city under UNESCO protection. Enjoy many landmarks and attractions while walking through its picturesque streets. In the afternoon departure to Split (UNESCO HERITAGE SITE), the second largest city in Croatia and the city that has all: Roman ruins and grand museums alongside fashionable cafes and trendy shops. Free time at leisure. Overnight in Split.

Day

7

After breakfast, meeting with the local guide and morning sightseeing of Split. Our journey through ancient history starts with the fact that the Roman Emperor Diocletian was born in nearby important Illyrian center and the capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia - Salona. He ordered to build one of today’s most preserved palaces of that time in the nearby town Split. With a professional city guide we are continuing our journey and sightseeing the 1700 year old Diocletian`s palace in Split, imagining how the life of Diocletian was like, within the walls of the palace. During the tour we stop by to see the Cathedral of St Duje, one of the most beautiful cultural wonders on the Adriatic coast but also the ancient cellars, Peristyle in center of the palace, Roman temples (today Christian ones), the famous Golden Gate and the big statue of Grgur Ninski. On this walking tour you will get to know Split and its history in an interesting way. In the afternoon departure to Dubrovnik – the pearl of Adriatic. Evening in Dubrovnik at leisure. Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Day

Morning sightseeing of Dubrovnik. Local guide will take you to the most wonderful and hidden streets of the city. Explore the Old Town of Dubrovnik including its narrow streets and small squares and of course famous City Walls. In the evening we recommend dinner in a traditional Dalmatian restaurant so-called “konoba” where you will be able to try “peka” - a Baked dish with meat and vegetables made in a pot or a tray, and the pot is put into the embers of a fireplace.
